Busy Chinatown (Photo from http://flickr.com/yototab)
Can't leave Singapore without getting some souvenirs or memorabilia?  Get a load of all these and more along the streets of historic Chinatown.  A shopper's paradise for almost all types souvenirs you can think of at a bargain price. Chinatown is a street market offering a tremendous variety of keychains, t-shirts, ref magnets, mugs, figurines, etc.. with the word Singapore written all over them.

Make sure to run through all the shops first to get the best bargain.  Most of the shops here do not accept credit card so make sure to bring your cash with you.  Bring an umbrella in case it pours.  You can also try the oh so yummy street food just around the corner of Chinatown.

Bring a big empty bag to store all your goodies and don't forget to list down every lucky friends and relatives who will be receiving these wonderful Singapore memorabilia.  It is not advisable to buy fragile stuffs like mugs, but if you are really tempted to get one, make sure to wrap them in a thick blanket of newspaper and secure them properly inside your luggage or better yet, just hand carry them.

Enjoy shopping and prepare a lot of SGDs cause I'm pretty sure you will be spending most of them on these cute little souvenirs from Chinatown!
