Porridge Worth Queueing For!

Zhen Zhen Porridge is definitely a must try for porridge/congee lovers out there and even for those who want to try!  Located inside the famous Maxwell Road Hawker Center, this porridge stall is at the top of my "Die Die Must Try" list.  Beware of the long queue specially during lunch hour.

Usual Japanese buffet restaurants serve the food on a common table where everybody just gets what they want.  Most of the time, the tempura will be a bit saggy already cause it has been there for minutes.  Not in this restaurant.  Ikoi Japanese Restaurant at Hotel Miramar serves all you can eat "Ala Carte" style!

Surrounded by the most notable icons like the Esplanade Theaters, Marina Bay Sands, Merlion and The Singapore Flyer, its a dining experience thats a feast to eyes and your stomach as well!  Glutton's Bay also known as Makan Sutra is one of my top choices for seafood and some local delights.

Singapore's National Dish!

I'm not really sure if its appropriate to call it Singapore's National Dish.  I cannot find any legitimate source that says it is, but almost all food bloggers claim it anyway.  Yup!  You know what I'm talking about.  Chicken Rice!

Icy Dessert!

Ice shaved finely into a bowl of red beans, corn, jelly topped with different types of sweet/fruity syrup and fresh fruits making one of Singapore's most loved dessert, The Ice Kachang!  Oh yeah!  This is the perfect treat to beat the heat in Sunny Singapore!

Breakfast Singapore Style

Start your day with thin toasted bread filled with rich buttery kaya spread, two soft boiled eggs on the side and a hot cup of kopi and enjoy Singapore's favorite breakfast, the Kaya Toast Set.

Unlike your typical toasted bread, kaya toast is more often toasted not in an oven toaster but directly on top of a hot flat stainless grill.  The piece of bread is usually sliced thinner into two and toasted to perfection with kaya spread and butter/margarine melting inside.
