Icy Dessert!

Ice shaved finely into a bowl of red beans, corn, jelly topped with different types of sweet/fruity syrup and fresh fruits making one of Singapore's most loved dessert, The Ice Kachang!  Oh yeah!  This is the perfect treat to beat the heat in Sunny Singapore!

It is quite similar to Halo Halo from the Philippines, but the ingredients and presentation is different.  The traditional ice kachang consist of only four things, ice, milk, syrup and red beans.  But now, they put almost everything you can think of into this mountain of icy goodness!  

Share your ice kachang with a friend or two or get a brain freeze!  If you choose fruits for topping, make sure to ask if its fresh and not the artificially flavored ones.  Ice Kachang stalls in Singapore are usually found beside the Drinks Store on almost all Hawker Centers and Food Courts.
